Multi- Scale Multi-Dimensional (MSMD) Lithium Ion Battery Pack Analysis & Simulation using ANSYS-Fluent & to find the max thermal conductivity for charging & Discharging over the 3s5p Battery Pack.

MSMD (Multi Scale Multi Dimension) Li-ion 3s5p- Battery Pack Simulation.

The MSMD Package of ANSYS-Fluent is used to designing the cooling system for lithium ion battery pack,
also, to study heat generation rate pack.

Using panasonic18650 battery cells of 3.2V, to make a pack of 3s5p combination, having the capacity of 12V and 20A.
The 3s5p pack was analysed for the cooling rate using the time taken to discharge @12V to its nominal voltage of 11.2 V, also, for the heat generation rate the total amount of dissipation time taken to reach the maximum voltage is taken as a reference to analyse full battery pack.
The simulation can be further used for analyzing any complex battery pack & multiple combination of Li-ion cells in series or parallel.
